The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science at Columbia University is one of the most exciting and dynamic engineering schools in the world with a large body of international students and faculty. Dean Mary C. Boyce will present the School's new strategic vision, Columbia Engineering for Humanity, which reflects a strong commitment to both technical innovation and community impact.
She will discuss how engineering is shaping the Fourth Industrial Revolution, where technologies accelerate the convergence of the digital, physical, and biological worlds. New engineering research in areas such as artificial intelligence, nanoscience, data science, materials, infrastructure, and devices can truly make a difference in sustainability, health, security, connectivity, and creativity.
